ADELAIDE INTERNATIONAL GUITAR FESTIVAL

Presented by the Adelaide Festival Centre, the Adelaide International Guitar Festival is an intensive, immersive, four day festival celebrating of the world's most popular instrument.
The Adelaide International Guitar Festival continues to garner a reputation for presenting some of the finest musicians from around the world and Australia, crossing a range of genres and showcasing their skill, musicianship and creativity. Complementing the program is a range of free and low cost workshops, master classes, artist talks and panel discussions.
The Festival is curated by guitarist Slava Grigoryan, one of Australia's premiere musicians. His persistent work in the development of both classical and contemporary music for guitar, undeniable talent and ever-evolving collaborations makes him a highly in-demand, respected and knowledgeable musician world-wide.
The Festival plays host to the Adelaide International Classical Guitar Competition; with over AUD$30,000 worth in prizes, it is the most prestigious guitar competition in the southern hemisphere. The winner of the inaugural Competition was Jin-Hee Kim from South Korea.
